Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position may assume shift management in the absence of leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required.
• RSS Certification must be obtainable.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge are beneficial.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish) is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure proper execution of service programs.
• Answer phones according to policy and maintain courteous, timely customer contact.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the ledger and procedures.
• Manage returns and exchanges, issue refunds with correct payment methods, and stage returns appropriately.
• Ensure all merchandise including core charges and warranties is invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules, obtain approvals for deviations, and monitor clock-in/out compliance.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures and bank deposits, and check/secure the building.
