Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager in Davenport, FL to lead a high-performing store team and ensure an engaging customer experience. You will drive selling behaviors, brand standards, and KPI results while overseeing front-end operations and in-store programs.

You will coach team members, manage POS systems, and support omnichannel fulfillment, including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, with a focus on safety and asset protection.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate and efficient use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee events and programs (Balloons, Loyalty Rewards, MCC/Extend protection plans, Knit & Sew Shop) and omni-channel services.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Support asset protection and reduce shrink through awareness and compliance.
