Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring a Sales Manager in Northborough, MA to lead front-end and service operations, drive customer experience, and achieve KPIs.

You will coach teams, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and oversee in-store programs including Balloons, Loyalty Rewards, and MCC/Extend services. Responsibilities include delivering strong sales, ensuring SOP adherence, and supporting BOPIS/Same Day Delivery while maintaining a safe, compliant store environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Experience with POS and Self-Checkout systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion selling culture across the store, driving sales and customer experience.
• Ensure SOPs and company programs compliance and hold team accountable.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program and MCC/Extend services.
• Drive omni-channel services including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Oversee Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experiences as applicable.
• Train, coach and develop team members across departments.
