Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager at a California location to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive strong sales, and deliver an engaging customer experience.

You will coach teams, manage front-end operations, and ensure SOP and brand standards are consistently applied. Responsibilities include MOD coverage, POS accuracy, loyalty program enrollment, and omni-channel fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience executing SOPs and company programs.
• Strong customer-service coaching and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead adherence to SOPs and company programs for compliance.
• Oversee store conditions and results through team accountability.
• Model customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloon, Birthday) and loyalty enrollment.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
