Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Sales Manager at KC-SHAWNEE, KS to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales, and deliver an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end/service operations, POS, Self-Checkout, BOPIS, and omni-channel fulfillment while coaching teams to meet brand standards and KPIs.

The role requires 3+ years of retail leadership, ability to coach selling behaviors, and strong operations oversight.

Qualifications

3+ years retail leadership experience.
Ability to manage front-end and service operations.
Experience driving store KPIs.

Responsibilities

Lead SOPs and Company program adherence to ensure legal and policy compliance.
Ensure policy execution and hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
Model/coaching of customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversions and satisfaction.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage to maintain floor leadership and service standards.
Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
Drive loyalty program enrollment to boost retention and visits.
Promote MCC/Extend services and protection plans.
Oversee Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience.
Support BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni-channel service.
Coordinate Custom Framing operations and frame shop as applicable.
Train and develop team through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
