Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Asheville/Arden, NC seeks a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture and deliver strong sales results across front-end and service operations. You will coach for brand standards, ensure SOP compliance, and drive customer-focused outcomes store-wide.

As Manager-on-Duty, you’ll guide POS, Self-Checkout, and in-store programs, while promoting loyalty enrollment and protection plan adoption across departments including Knit & Sew and framing services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold team accountable.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; oversee floor leadership and operations.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout utilization and customer support.
• Drive loyalty program enrollment and protect plans offerings.
• Lead omni-channel execution including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support special in-store programs (Balloons, Knit & Sew Shop, Custom Framing in select stores).
• Train and develop team members; uphold Asset Protection practices.
