Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Sales Manager in Jacksonville, NC to lead a high-performing store team and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will model selling behaviors, ensure SOP compliance, and drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.

You will coach teammates, oversee POS operations, and champion in-store programs like loyalty and protection plans, while managing assets and protecting shrink. Nights, weekends, and early hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong customer service focus and coaching skills.
• Ability to lead store operations and maintain standards.
• Experience with POS systems and customer transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion a high-performing selling culture across the store.
• Oversee front-end and service operations to ensure brand standards and SOPs.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and drive store KPIs.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards and Extend protection plans to customers.
• Lead the Knit & Sew Shop, Balloons, and in-store programs.
• Coordinate BOPIS and Same Day Delivery for omni-channel service.
• Train, coach, and develop team members; manage assets and shrink.
• Support framing operations and frame shop coordination where applicable.
