Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a Sales Manager who will lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, drive sales results, and ensure a superior customer experience.

You will coach team members, oversee front-end and service operations, manage SOPs, POS reliability, and omnichannel steps like BOPIS and delivery while supporting store programs and loyalty enrollment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout systems to support smooth transactions and customer support.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and repeat visits.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in store departments and programs including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
