Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, driving sales results and a strong customer experience.

You will coach the team, uphold brand standards and SOPs, and ensure omni-channel execution including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery. With 3+ years of retail leadership, you will provide MOD coverage, promote loyalty programs, and support specialty areas like the Knit & Sew Shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Strong customer service focus and coaching abilities.
• Ability to drive KPIs through team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs.
• Ensure policy execution and maintain store conditions and results.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and floor leadership.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems.
• Oversee balloons, birthdays, and in-store programs/events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and omni-channel service (BOPIS, Same Day Delivery).
• Train and develop team through onboarding and coaching.
• Support Asset Protection to reduce shrink.
