Job summary

Michaels, a leading craft retailer, seeks a Sales Manager to lead store teams across front-end and service operations, driving strong sales results and an engaging customer experience.

You will coach staff on selling behaviours, manage POS and Self-Checkout, and ensure SOP compliance while delivering exceptional customer service and loyalty enrollment. This role requires flexibility for evenings/weekends in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead and coach teams to deliver results.
• Strong focus on customer experience and selling behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and company programs.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintain floor leadership and operational continuity.
• Ensure accurate use of POS and Self-Checkout systems for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events and loyalty enrollment.
• Lead omni-channel initiatives including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Maintain Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
