Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture across the store, driving sales results and an engaging customer experience.

You will oversee front-end and service operations, ensure brand standards, and coach the team to execute selling behaviors and SOPs. As MOD, you will provide floor leadership, manage POS and Self-Checkout, support omni-channel services like BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, promote Loyalty Rewards, and coach staff

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards and hold team accountable.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and ART of Selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage to support smooth transactions.
• Promote and enroll customers in the Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in omni-channel services, including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
