Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in the Bridgewater, NJ area to lead a high-performing selling culture and ensure strong sales results and customer engagement. You will oversee front-end operations, coaching, and day-to-day execution, with hours including mid-shifts and closing.

Open availability is required for this role. Major activities include leading SOP adherence, driving policy execution, coaching selling behaviors, MOD coverage, and omni-channel order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure policy and standards execution and accountability.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout use and customer support.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, parties) and events.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and customer retention.
• Drive services adoption (US only) for protection plans and offerings.
• Lead Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience oversight.
• Ensure efficient BOPIS and Same Day Delivery execution.
• Support Custom Framing operations in select volume frame shops.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Support Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
