Job summary

Walgreens in Chicago, IL is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store and pharmacy operations, driving sales, protecting assets, and delivering a distinctive customer and patient experience.

You will hire and develop staff, schedule shifts, analyze performance, manage inventory and merchandising, ensure compliance with laws and policies, and partner with district leadership to optimize service and profitability across retail and pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience or HS Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
• Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state OR pharmacy assistant in WA state OR licensed RPh, within 12 months of start date.
• Willingness to work extended days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and improves customer service, provides training and action plans.
• Supervises store and pharmacy operations, scheduling and task delegation.
• Analyzes financial data and KPIs to increase sales and control costs.
• Manages inventory, merchandising, stock levels and promotions.
• Ensures compliance with laws, policies and safety standards.
