Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily store and pharmacy operations in a dynamic retail environment. You will lead a team, manage scheduling, merchandising, and inventory while ensuring a high standard of customer and patient experience.

You will analyze performance metrics, drive sales, and implement training programs. A flexible schedule, strong leadership, and adherence to policies are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of retail management experience or a high school diploma with 5 years of retail management experience.
• Licensed pharmacy technician as required by state or pharmacy assistant in WA state or licensed RPh as soon as possible given state law requirements, no later than 12 months from Store Manager start date.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and analyzes customer service; provides training and action plans for improvement in retail and pharmacy.
• Greets customers and clinic patients and assists with products and services.
• Models customer service best practices and Walgreens service traits to deliver a distinctive customer and patient experience.
• Resolves customer complaints and responds to special needs.
• Supervises store and pharmacy operations, including opening/closing shifts and scheduling.
• Manages cash handling, invoices, and time records; oversees bookkeeping aspects.
• Plans and implements merchandising sets, resets, and promotional space.
• Manages inventory levels, stock, and stock liquidation; avoids outs and overstock.
• Ensures compliance with laws, policies, and safety standards; maintains store and grounds.
• Oversees hiring, placement, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinates training programs and stores-wide initiatives; pharmacy technician registration as required.
• Acts as liaison with district, corporate, and store teams; engages in community outreach.
