Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in the United States is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to lead inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution. This role drives operational excellence, coaches teammates, and supports store performance to keep the shop fast, accurate, and athlete-ready.

You will build and lead a strong team, oversee hiring and onboarding, and ensure policy compliance while delivering exceptional athlete experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences through product knowledge and merchandising standards.
• Develop 30-60-90 day plans with leadership to support priorities and budgets.
• Schedule teammates and optimize payroll while meeting store goals.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and assess direct reports and maintain a respectful store culture.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures to protect people and assets.
