Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to lead inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution in-store. You will coach teammates, optimize store performance, and ensure processes run efficiently to keep athletes ready.

As a supervisor, you will hire, onboard, train, and develop staff, set schedules, and uphold safety and loss-prevention policies. The role requires coaching, accountability, and a customer-focused, inclusive store environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment; uphold merchandising and presentation standards.
• With the SM and ASM, contribute to 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s); assist in staffing, initiatives, and budgeting and lead as Head Coach when solo.
• Communicate departmental goals and plans to direct reports and assign workload to maximize efficiencies; develop schedules to meet athlete traffic demands while meeting payroll and financial goals.
• Build and lead a strong, effective team; hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop direct reports; conduct performance reviews and ensure a respectful store environment.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; hold teammates accountable for compliance.
