Job summary

Five Below in New Jersey is seeking a flexible, customer-focused team member in an hourly role. You will interact with guests, train crew, and assist in daily store operations including opening/closing procedures and safety checks.

You will support onboarding and ongoing training while driving sales and maintaining strong service standards across merchandising and checkout. This position requires a positive attitude and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal interactions and service excellence.
• Trains crew on the customer service experience for fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily store activities and monitors staff performance.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and stocking to keep shelves ready.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, owning store operations and safety.
• Opens or closes the store, secures cash, and ensures daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drives sales and controls costs through merchandising and service quality.
• Collaborates with store leadership on merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Performs general store maintenance and housekeeping.
