Job summary

ALDI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store performance, supervise day-to-day activities, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to develop and grow the team.

Starting wage is $25.00 per hour, with a wage increase to $26.00 per hour in year 2. This is a full-time position requiring at least 3 years of retail experience and a strong focus on customer service and leadership. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Motivate and lead store team to align with company strategy and core values.
• Monitor competition and adjust operating plans to maintain competitive position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and communicating key information.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, cash control policies, and store signage.
