Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing associates to meet goals in a busy retail environment.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities and support decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence others to drive store performance.
• Track record of improving customer experience, sales growth, operations, and talent development.
• Experience managing competing priorities while guiding teams through change.
• Strong history of independently leading strategies that improve multiple areas of store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience and promote customer service
• Lead teams in planning, implementing, and executing merchandising and operating initiatives
• Support action plans and communicate results from associate surveys
• Identify store opportunities with department heads and develop timely solutions
• Model highest level of customer service and resolve issues
• Assist in managing total store operations in manager's absence
• Help achieve sales, wage, and profit budgets; contribute to safety, shrink, and other targets
• Drive sales by coordinating with department managers to maximize profitability
• Participate in store-level financial discussions on budgets and expenses
• Analyze competitive landscape and share insights with leadership
• Promote inclusive leadership and behavior among associates
• Coordinate with field staff to achieve division merchandising and operational goals
• Foster relationships with local organizations and, if applicable, union reps
• Communicate essential information to staff for duties
• Serve as liaison to store/district managers on program effectiveness
• Assist with staffing, turnover reduction, and retentionProvide performance feedback to department heads and associates
• Assist with labor and supply cost management daily to hit targets
• Ensure compliance with laws and enterprise policies
• Support adoption of technology by coaching staff to improve performance
• Develop leadership bench strength within departments and teams
• Supervise and coach direct reports, including performance reviews
