Job summary

Kroger Co. in Dallas, Texas seeks a Store Operations Manager to oversee multiple departments and drive performance in all areas of operation and human resources.

You will handle scheduling, safety, sanitation, budgeting, and staff development to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Reporting to the Store Leader, you will guide associates, lead merchandising initiatives, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies while sustaining growth and community relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager or equivalent role.
• Experience leading and coaching associates to achieve customer service, operational, and business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support business decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence others to drive store performance.
• Proven track record of improving customer experience, sales, and store operations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and lead through change.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in achieving a favorable customer shopping experience and develop associate interest in customer service to enhance Kroger’s reputation.
• Assist Store Manager in leading teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising/operating initiatives.
• Assist store manager with developing action plans/communications from Associate Insight survey results.
• Work with department heads to identify opportunities and create action plans for implementation.
• Role model and require a high level of customer service; resolve issues and concerns.
• Manage total store operations in store manager’s absence.
• Achieve or exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, wage, and profit budgets; focus on safety and shrink.
