Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Operations Manager to assist the Store Manager in delivering a best-in-class customer experience across departments. You will lead teams, plan and execute merchandising and operating initiatives, and focus on budget adherence and performance improvements.

You will coach associates, foster inclusive leadership, and collaborate with department heads to meet safety, sales, and service goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year in department manager or equivalent role preferred.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in delivering customer-focused shopping experiences.
• Lead teams in merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Develop action plans based on survey results and store performance data.
• Identify opportunities with department heads and implement timely solutions.
• Model inclusive leadership and resolve associates' issues and concerns.
• Oversee total store operations in the manager's absence.
• Contribute to achieving sales, labor, and budget targets.
• Collaborate with department managers to maximize sales and reduce shrink.
• Participate in budgeting discussions and communicate performance.
