Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations, drive sales, and build strong associate and customer relationships. You will ensure security, safety, and food safety standards are maintained while guiding daily store performance.

The role requires a college degree or equivalent, department manager experience, and strong leadership, communication and organizational skills to manage multiple departments toward budgeted results.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Hire, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of Guiding Principles.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast and easy service.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and company assets.
• Observe and ensure compliance with security, safety, and food safety standards.
• Support the achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is not present.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the store.
