Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Good judgment solving problems, making decisions, handling complaints, arbitrating disputes and resolving grievances.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates throughout multiple departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Certification as a Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership and motivation within the store to promote our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy customer service.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and company assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS, CAO, scheduling and business information systems.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is not present.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations.
