Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager to oversee total store operations, drive financial and sales results, and build strong associate and customer relations. You will lead the team, implement store and corporate initiatives, and maintain high standards for security, safety, and food safety across the store.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• College graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Solid understanding of store operations required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Accreditation by National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar; must obtain as Certified Food Safety Manager within 90 days.

• Control store funds and assets appropriately.
• Foster a positive environment and community presence.
• Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet needs.
• Provide recognition and constructive coaching to improve performance.
• Utilize company tools and analyze financial & inventory data.
• Understand and use P&L information.
• Manage training and accountability for productivity.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet, and Training Aid courses.
