Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise day-to-day store activities, drive overall store performance, manage staff schedules, and develop actionable operational plans. The role includes identifying training opportunities to grow the team and deliver excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with an expected 38-hour work week. Starting wage is $26.50 per hour, with a wage increase to $27.50 per hour in Year 2.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Develop rapport and open communication with direct reports
• Understand and apply company policies and manage budgeting/expenses

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
• Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports
• Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance
• Model ALDI core values and communicate company strategy to employees
• Monitor competitive environment and advise on adjustments to maintain ALDI position
• Participate in interviewing store personnel
• Ensure inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies are followed
• Resolve customer concerns in the supervisor's absence
• Identify and rectify hazards and maintain store equipment
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering
• Merchandise products to maximize sales
• Ensure product signage accuracy and freshness
• Assist with payroll, loss prevention metrics, and training of new staff
• Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when needed
• Ensure reports and tasks are completed timely and accurately
