Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise daily store activities, drive performance, manage schedules, and develop actionable operational plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role offers full-time status with an average of 38 hours per week and a starting wage of $24.00 per hour, increasing to $25.00 per hour in Year 2. Responsibilities include supervising staff, merchandising, inventory control, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Models company core values to create teamwork.
• Monitors community competitive environment and informs leadership of adjustments.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensures adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies.
• Ensures proper resolution of customer concerns in leader's absence.
• Maintains store cleanliness and proper signage.
• Maintains stock levels through ordering and merchandising.
• Oversees payroll and loss prevention efforts.
• Executes daily operations and escalates issues as needed.
