ALDI USA is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store activities, supervise staff, and drive store performance. The role includes schedule management, training development, and operational planning to grow the team and improve results.

Starting wage is $26.50 per hour with a wage increase to $27.50 per hour in year 2. This full-time position typically averages 38 hours per week and requires strong leadership and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader in developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Model company values and foster teamwork.
• Monitor competitive environment and communicate needed adjustments.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations to leadership.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate weekly updates, milestones and concerns.
• Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, cash control, and product handling guidelines.
• Resolve customer concerns in the leader's absence.
• Maintain store signage, cleanliness, and stock levels.
• Support payroll and loss prevention efforts.
• Supervise day-to-day team operations and escalate issues when needed.
