Job summary

Dollar Tree in Lancaster, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, enhance customer service, and develop team capabilities.

You will support opening/closing, oversee merchandising, training, and compliance with company policies while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff. This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including cash handling.
• Train and develop store associates and maintain a safe environment.
