Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support the Store Manager in daily activities, supervise associates, and help ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and experience in retail management. You will be responsible for opening/closing procedures, inventory control, loss prevention, and delivering exceptional service to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment in interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
