Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Lebanon, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing, merchandising, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a willingness to train and supervise Store Associates in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
