Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and develop a high-performing team. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, safety, and customer service initiatives, ensuring alignment with Kroger’s standards and strategic goals.

Ideal candidates have a year of department-management experience, strong leadership and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to use KPIs to improve performance across departments in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent role.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to achieve customer service and business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to identify opportunities and support decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence others to drive store performance.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in delivering a superior customer shopping experience and promote customer service excellence.
• Lead teams in planning and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Communicate results and action plans to associates based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities with department heads and implement timely solutions and budgets.
• Model inclusive leadership and foster a respectful work environment for all associates.
• Oversee total store operations in the store manager’s absence and drive sales, budgets, and safety goals.
• Collaborate with department managers to maximize sales and profit while reducing shrink.
