Job summary

The position requires prior retail management experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to act as the store lead in the manager’s absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or equivalent.
• Store or district management experience or direct manager approval.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager & associates in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience.
• Assist in leading teams in planning, implementing & executing merchandising/operating initiatives.
• Develop action plans based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities and create timely solutions with action plans.
• Model the highest level of customer service and resolve issues.
• Manage total store operations in the store manager’s absence.
• Drive sales and profits with department managers and reduce shrink.
• Participate in regular store-level financial discussions and budgeting.
• Communicate essential information to associates to perform duties effectively.
• Promote relationships with local community organizations and unions where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with laws and enterprise policies and complete performance reviews.
