Job summary

Five Below in Bowie, MD is seeking an experienced store manager to lead daily operations and wow customers. You will oversee the crew, train staff on BE S.T. customer service, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will open and close the store, secure cash, set alarms, manage schedules, and partner with the leadership team on merchandising and loss prevention. This role requires 1+ years of management and a proactive, energetic approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and remain composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows the customer through personal contact with customers.
• Trains crew on BE S.T. customer service; ensures fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures effective performance.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing stock for quick floor placement.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations and staffing issues.
• Manages opening/closing procedures, cash handling, alarm setup, and daily readiness.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates; improves performance.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses through merchandising and staff performance.
