Safeway is seeking a capable Third Person in Charge to oversee store operations during the absence of the Store Director and ASD. You will supervise staff, ensure customer service excellence, and support on merchandising and training initiatives.

The role emphasizes managing late-shift operations, executing company merchandising policies, and coordinating with leadership to prepare for promotions and staffing needs. This position offers growth within the retail leadership development track.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Four+ years of retail experience required.
Retail grocery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

Works primarily closing shifts to run total store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director.
Overall management responsibility for the total store operation, including supervision of all employees and the handling of customer complaints, in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director.
Initiates corrective action as needed in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director.
Acts as the liaison between the Store Director/Assistant Store Director and the late shift operations to ensure smooth operations of the store.
Coordinates with late shift employees/department leads in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations of the store during the late shift and special sales/AD needs.
Builds and executes merchandising plans for the store working with Head Clerks, PICs, and Food Clerks.
