Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC in Roxboro, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run day-to-day store operations, supervise staff, and deliver excellent customer service. You will assist with merchandise movement, scheduling, payroll records, loss prevention, and ensuring safety and policy compliance while developing store associates and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities (Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, etc.).
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, trash removed, and areas neat and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
