Job summary

Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development at our Rose Hill, North Carolina location.

Assist with daily store functions, merchandise organization, opening/closing procedures, and loss prevention while maintaining a bright, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

Support the Store Manager in training associates, executing corporate directives, and ensuring policies are followed, with a focus on excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Experience managing retail/grocery or drug store operations preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk frequently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and respond to communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for showroom effectiveness.
