Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. The role includes opening/closing, inventory, merchandising, and training responsibilities to maintain a high-energy store environment.

You will supervise associates, ensure safety and policy compliance, and help drive promotional displays while maintaining excellent customer service and operational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in store management, retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Organize merchandise and transfers from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and record keeping.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets and cash handling procedures.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
