Family Dollar Stores Of North Carolina LLC in Rowland, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the team.

You will assist with opening and closing, merchandising on the floor, processing inventory, and ensuring safety and policy compliance while delivering exceptional service. This position requires physical readiness and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in organizing merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise and train Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
