Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in daily operations. You will open and close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy to shop environment while upholding company standards.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience, excellent verbal communication in English, and familiarity with POS equipment. You will balance merchandising, loss prevention, customer service, and administrative duties in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Ensure safety and loss prevention measures are followed.
• Trains and coaches front-end associates on cash handling and procedures.
• Assist with payroll administration and scheduling as needed.
