Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and assist in daily operations as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, well-merchandised environment.

You will ensure safety, assist in loss prevention, and support customer service while upholding company standards for merchandising, cleanliness, and adherence to policies. The role requires effective leadership and collaboration with Store Leadership.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure store environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service and lead by example.
• Represent and support the Ross brand; keep areas clean and merchandised to standard.
• Oversee merchandising, stockroom organization, and back stock processing.
• Supervise front-end operations and train associates on cash handling.
• Enforce loss prevention policies and company procedures.
• Coordinate tasks to ensure timely completion of daily duties.
