Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and support the Store Leadership in daily operations. You will open/close the store, supervise Associates, and ensure a safe, friendly, and well-merchandised shopping environment.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong customer service skills, and familiarity with POS systems. Evening and weekend availability is expected as part of store coverage.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain safe and secure shopping environment; correct or report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure proper merchandising presentation and clean work area; manage stockrooms.
• Lead front-end supervision and coach cashiers; ensure efficient queueing and customer flow.
• Oversee loss prevention practices and safeguard cash, records, and merchandise.
• Handle payroll administration and Associate scheduling; manage daily punch edits.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager and support store leadership.
