Job summary

Ross stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our leadership team. You will oversee a defined store area, supervise Associates, ensure safe operations, and maintain appealing merchandise presentation.

The role emphasizes customer service, brand representation, and adherence to store policies while supporting daily front-end and back-end operations. Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, supervising staff, maintaining safety, and executing merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe and secure store environment and corrects unsafe conditions.
• Supervises Associates, opens/closes the store, and ensures a friendly shopping experience.
• Represents the Ross brand and enforces dress code and merchandising standards.
• Oversees loss prevention, customer service, and front-end operations.
• Maintains stockrooms, processes deliveries, and ensures timely restocking.
• Performs administrative duties and supports Store Manager as assigned.
