Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Models company values to create teamwork and engagement among employees.
• Monitors the competitive environment and informs leadership of adjustments.
• Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participates in interviewing store personnel.
• Ensures inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies are followed.
• Resolves operational customer concerns in leadership's absence.
• Identifies hazards and maintains store equipment in proper order.
• Maintains store cleanliness and signage.
• Maintains stock levels through product ordering.
• Merchandises products to maximize sales.
• Ensures quality and freshness of products and signage.
• Supports payroll, shrink, and training of new employees.
• Supervises day-to-day team operations and escalates issues as needed.
• Ensures timely completion of responsibilities and high customer service.
• Complies with policies and protects data confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.
