Job summary

ALDI USA in Linden, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store activities and drive performance. You will supervise staff, develop action plans, manage schedules and payroll, and help train team members to enhance performance and customer service.

The role requires at least 3 years in retail with prior management experience preferred. Starting wage is $27.00/hour with a wage increase to $28.00/hour in year 2, for a full-time position.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities to ensure performance.
• Develop operational action plans and identify training opportunities for the team.
• Manage schedules, payroll, and budget-related tasks.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales and ensure product signage accuracy.
• Oversee inventory procedures, cash control policies, and loss prevention measures.
• Participate in interviewing for store personnel and onboard new staff.
