Job summary

Dollar General seeks a store leadership professional to manage all employees and store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, and selling. You will staff, train, and evaluate, ensuring safety, compliance, and policy adherence across daily operations.

You will oversee inventory, pricing, signage, and customer service while maintaining financial integrity and a well-organized, secure environment. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Responsibilities

• Lead staffing: recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and company policies.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel when needed.
• Recommend pay rate and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store consistently and ensure proper staffing.
