Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Some store locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address gaps with counseling or termination when needed.
• Develop pay rate and advancement recommendations.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store opens and closes properly and staff coverage is maintained.
• Evaluate business trends and manage inventory to meet in-stock targets.
• Lead by example to provide superior customer service and a safe store environment.
• Maintain cash controls, asset protection and store security procedures.
• Ensure merchandising is presented consistently with pricing and signage standards.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation on time.
