Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire, counsel and terminate with legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees while ensuring proper staffing according to laws and policies.
• Provides proper training, conducts performance evaluations, and addresses gaps with appropriate actions.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct, and safety expectations regularly and coordinates meetings.
• Ensures store is staffed and opened/closed as required.
• Evaluates operating statements for trends, profitability, and shrink.
• Manages ordering and inventory planning to meet in-stock targets.
• Facilitates staging, stocking, and storage of merchandise per company processes.
• Maintains presentation, pricing, and signage of merchandise.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and cash control procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership and a safe, clean store environment.
• Ensures required equipment and adherence to SOPs and policies.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation on time.
