Job summary

Dollar General seeks a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising and customer service. You will drive performance, schedule coverage, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities include recruiting and developing team members, monitoring results, controlling shrink, and maintaining a clean, welcoming store environment to deliver excellent shopping experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and POS operations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal and state laws and company policies; ensure staff is properly staffed.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings to enforce policies.
• Open and close the store each day with appropriate staffing and procedures.
