Job summary

Dollar Tree in Shillington, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow, open/close procedures, and ensure compliance with policies.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and store-management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store settings. You must lift up to 55 lbs, work in a busy environment, and help train and supervise store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and daily activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
