Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This part-time role involves opening/closing procedures, merchandise handling, and ensuring store standards are met at the Philadelphia location.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environment preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/stooping.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and complete information requests related to store activities.
• Maintain attractive storefronts and displays; ensure promotions are effective.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling records, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash; adhere to safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
